The shutdown options can be executed manually or at a specified time, date & frequency.

A wav-file can be played when a message dialog is displayed. The timeout is extended to 1 hour.
You can run an application prior to shutdown. (You get 60 seconds to complete)

You can define shortcut keys to do a specified operation. (ex: Shut Down, Hibernate, Stand By, Protection Panel, Log Off, Start Screen Saver etc...)
